What is ILLiad / How does interlibrary loan work?

ILLiad is our interlibrary loan service.  ILLiad stands for InterLibrary Loan internet accessible database. This service allows Marian University Library to borrow items from other libraries for MU students, faculty, and staff.

Users will first need to register to use ILLiad with their Marian University credentials. Registration is easy, after logging in users can fill out the brief User Information section (including MU status and department). Once registered requests can be submitted (under New Request) according to type of material and referenced (under View) from the options in the left hand navigation area.

Additionally, requests can be made directly from the library catalog. For any item that is not available, click on the Request Item button to be taken to the ILLiad request form. once clicked (and signed in), the request form for the item will already be filled in.  Click Submit Request, and we'll take it from there.
